Mauricio Baez welcomes back Shaw, ex Prawira

Metropolitanos de Mauricio Baez (TBS) tabbed 33-year old American 211cm center Jarred Shaw (college: Utah State). It is actually his comeback to Mauricio Baez as he has played here before. He played this summer at Prawira in Indonesian IBL league. In 32 games he just recently played he averaged impressive 18.1ppg, 8.9rpg and 1.3apg. He helped them to win the league title. He can count that season as a very successful as was awarded Asia-Basket.com All-Indonesian IBL Center of the Year, League Player of the Week (2 times) and voted to Asia-Basket.com All-Indonesian IBL First Team. The last season he played at Homentmen (LBL) in Lebanese league.
In 2015 (a year after his graduation) he was drafted by Santa Cruz Warriors (D-League) in first round (18th overall).
The former Utah State star is in his eleventh season in pro basketball.
He has tried to make it to the NBA and played in the NBA Pro Summer League in 2014.
He is a very experienced player. And here thanks to pro basketball he experienced life in twelve different countries playing on four different continents. He is familiar with European, Asian, Latin American and of course North American leagues. He has played previously professionally in Argentina (Hispano Americano de Rio Gallegos), Dominican Republic (Marineros, Enriquillo and Dosa), Indonesia, Japan (Fukushima), Lebanon, Mexico (Soles and Dorados), Portugal (Oliveirense), Saudi Arabia (Deba), Turkey (Ankara D.S.I.), Uruguay (Hebraica, Trouville and Goes), Venezuela (Panteras and Gigantes) and Thailand (Hitech). He played also for Oklahoma State University for 2 years.
